Help With Setting Up/Finding Converrting 3GP Media Streams For Cell PhonesI am really new to all of this. I recently switched over to Verizon and they don't allow a whole lot of streaming content. So most of the content I used to use with Sprint, doesn't work with them.
Do you know of a place where I can find 3GP streams? And also a way to set up a 3GP stream. So I can streaming radio content to my phone? And is it possible to convert an MP3 or WMV stream into a 3GP format? Last edited by Stream Ripper : 07-01-2008 at 11:51 PM. |

About all I can help you with is converting streams to a .3gp format. We've got a whole bunch of converter programs listed here: audio/video converter I can recomend a few if you like, but I figure i'd let you take first crack at seeing what you like. |

This is all really new to me. So any advice would be great. Would it be possible to change a link these this to 3GP? http://193.239.120.188:8244/ http://www.howardstern.com.tw/ http://www.sterntv.net/howard101-128k.m3u When I click Listen, it just downloads a playlist. Can a play list be changed into 3GP? what about a m3u? I don't understand how to change a link into a different format, seeing as it is just a link, not a file. What steps would be needed? |

Keep in mind, once you RECORD the file(s) you want, you'll want to convert them. WM Recorder comes with the option to purchase a Converter program, as does Replay AV (it works well with Replay Converter ) so I would suggest trying both programs AND available converters, and see which better fits your needs. |

Will this download the streaming content itself or just the link. Downloading and converting the link to 3GP, so I can then open it and stream it on my phone, would be the best way to go. These programs seem to only downloading the content as it plays. Then saving them for future playback. I can do this as well. But I just want to see if I can convert the link itself to 3GP, so I can then log on and listen to the stream anytime I want to. If you can do this for me, I will send you some money with Paypal for your trouble. |
