the best web-browser: Firefox vs. Opera vs. Internet Explorer

I don't use Internet Explorer anymore except when it is the only web browser supported by some web-site. It is slow, buggy and vulnerable. Besides I can't turn off images on some selected tabs so it consumes much more traffic.

I use Opera a lot. I especially liked that it supports multiple tabs, mouse gestures, could turn images on/off on a single tab. And it is free.

Firefox is a great browser. It is free. And it supports lots of extensions:
  • AdBlock Plus - remove ads
  • SkipScreen - skip unnecessary pages on sites like MediaFire, RapidShare, zShare, MegaUpload
  • DownloadHelper - download HTTP videos
  • Mouse gestures - allows to execute common commands using your mouse. It speeds up browsing process significantly. When I use any browser without mouse gestures, I feel like a disabled person.
  • ImgLikeOpera - allows to allow/prohibit image download. Unlike I.E. it works the same way as in Opera, so it allows to load images on a selected tab only.
  • FlashBlock - replaces Flash .SWF objects with a button. You can click on the button to show the flash object. Allows you to watch less web ads and other flash objects. It speeds up the web browsing process, besides you pay less for the internet traffic 'coz you consume less of it.
  • ScrapBook - helps to save web-pages and easily manage collections. Many users install Firefox only because of this extension!
  • Session saver - restores last browsing session, so you don't have to open all closed web-pages once again (especially when the power was turned off).
  • Sage - RSS and ATOM feed aggregator.
  • BBcode - adds BBCode formating for forums like this.
Compared to Opera, Firefox has some disadvantages:
  • It is much slower at saving pages to a hard disk. Besides I like the way opera gives names to the saved files.
  • You have to install extensions to have the functionality of Opera. It is a big headache to install all extensions you need unless all of them are in some extension pack.
  • Extensions are developed by many people so some of them are very buggy.

Re: the best web-browser: Firefox vs. Opera vs. Internet Explorer

google Chrome is the best browser, when i first downloaded it, my internet browsing was running at a lighting speed, i even

checked my speed (using a speed test web-site) and it was normal 5Mbps too, i was using firefox which chocked my browsing capabilities .
But the only one advantage with firefox is that it has more add ons, which makes things much easier
