How to make ringtone for iPhone

We all know that it is more difficult to customize Apple’s products comparing with Android/Windows devices. For Apple’s smartphone users, what bothers them most is how to make ringtone for iPhone when they find a favorite song from YouTube, VeVo, Mtv, or other music video sites. Based on my experience, I’ll show you some tricks to let you personalize your ringtone.

Part I: Extract the M4A File from Music Video.

1. Click here to access Free Video to MP3.

2. Go to the webpage of the music video you want to download. Copy the link of it, and then paste it to the URL field.

3. After hitting the green “Convert” button, a Java applet window will pop up. In order to make iPhone ringtone online effortlessly, you need to run it on your computer.

4. When the audio file has been detected, just select “M4A” as the output format.

5. You need to rename the file and change the extension from .m4a to .m4r, for the reason that M4R is the default format of the iPhone’s ringtone.

Part II: Transfer the M4R file to iPhone.

1. Launch the latest iTunes 12.1 on your PC.

2. Forward to “Tones” and click “Add File to Library” to import the converted M4R file.

3. Connect your iPhone to computer and hit “Tones” button.

4. Then tick “sync tones” and click “Apply”, the ringtone has been saved on your iPhone.

5. The final step is that open “Settings”>“Sounds”> “Ringtone” and choose newly created ringtone from “Custom tones” list.

Making iPhone ringtone is pretty simple with the help of these programs above. Bear in mind that only M4A file can be changed the extension to M4R format straightforward.
