smooth live streaming and timecode

Is possible to record Smooth live streaming? I get an .mkv file, but it has no timecode, so I cant play it as well and editing programs dont recognize it. Is there a way to fix this problem?

I just noticed that they changed streaming format and now is HLS, so I can record it as well
