Problems downloading TV shows from alluc.org (.DivX videos from embedded player)Thanx for that.
Had already tried Replay Media Catcher and also the newer AV Catcher with similar lack of success. Have managed to download from www.alluc.org, with FLV Recorder, as you suggested, but only one programme (I could d/l Cosmos but not Are you being served or Red Dwarf). The intrinisic problem may be copy protection, as I was able to begin d/l Cosmos with Realplayer's "Download this video" button, but could not do so on the other two. So that would seem to suggest that all three progs refuse to capture copy-protected content. However, neither MC nor WM would even record Cosmos, so I'm not sure where that leaves me! If you know of any other progs that would enable me to d/l protected content such as the two above I would be grateful for your suggestions. Anyway, thanks again! Troll |

Re: Problems downloading TV shows from alluc.org (.DivX videos from embedded player)"Some Are You Being Served?" videos can be found at
Code:
http://www12.alluc.org/alluc/tv-shows.html?action=getviewcategory&category_uid=17948 The latter web-site simply shows .divx content through the HTTP protocol. You can find "http:/// ... .divx" URLs with freeware URL Snooper and then download them with any download manager. |
