Capture and re-stream .flv on the flyHi,
I need to catch a file from youtube and stream it over ip. I know VLC 0.9 beta, should be able to load this kind of files. Althought VLC is able to stream a file while reading it, I had no success till now in reading the youtube files from the url. Does anyone know another software with these capabilities? thanks for help! |

Re: Capture and re-stream .flv on the flyI've tried VLC and was't able to play youtube stream with it. Besides VLC the only stream recorders I've seen that were able to re-broadcast streaming content supported Shoutcast/Icecast audio streams only.

Re: Capture and re-stream .flv on the flyouch!
allright then. What do you think about a stream recorder for writing the file to the hard disk (or better a ram disk) and vlc or a similar re-streaming software for reading the file meanwhile it is written? which softwares would do the best in this scenario? |

Re: Capture and re-stream .flv on the flyI could be wrong, but I don't really think it is possible to read a recorded file before it is written up to the end. At least without custom software.
The best choice here is to keep bugging VLC developers so that they support FLV streams. |
