Freeware software like Freecorder (alternatives to Freecorder free recorder toolbar)

Freecorder Toolbar is great, but sometimes I get too many files when recording from my sound card. Is there any way to disable this in Freecorder?

Or are there any freeware alternatives to Freecorder 4 or 5? Anything similar?

Jaksta Free Media Recorder is a freeware direct sound recording software. It supports silence detection, but you can disable it, and you can customize its recording threshold.
