Problem with recording from screen with Fraps: Static when I record a In-Game Video?

When I record a video via Fraps, Xfire, or other means of playing audio and recording it for games, I get a annoying static sound when the sounds get too loud. I use the "Stereo Mix" Option when recording, mainly because the "Wave" recording option makes it too soft. I use 4 speakers currently and use the sound driver called "CM6501".
