That's not correct.
Replay Media Catcher can perfectly record RTMP streams. RTMPE (secure RTMP) streams are really problematic, but I haven't seen any software that works fine with them.

There are cheaper and freeware alternatives to
Replay Video Capture, but many people still like it.
