so do you get this freeze problem also without to re-stream with ffmpeg?Original stream does run ok and your re-stream only makes trouble yes?So you could try to use --realtime|-R paramter for rtmpdump.So on the other hand you could try to check out whether the re-stream only stops / continue if you do play / watch the re-stream.Just record the re-stream without to watch it and check whether the recorded file also did stop / continue or not.Maybe its just a player issue only.Check whether the recorded file does jump (missing some seconds) or not.If the recorded file is ok and same like original live stream then it should be any player issue (I think so).

So did you try the same with any other streams from other sites,just to check whether you get same trouble too?
