Many thanks to both Stream Ripper and Steam Recorder for your suggestions. I will certainly take a look at WM Recorder, and I will see whether the Streamripper frontends will run on W2K.

As I said, I can run Streamripper as a Winamp plugin if other options offer no advantage.
