Re: How to restart Wine (if you can't close a process/application)

This kills the current wineserver session, which will force your locked up app to close. The only problem it might cause is file saving issues. If your application locks while writing to a particular file, like stream recording software writing to a save file, using "wineserver -k" could corrupt that file.
Hi.
I am running an application my company owns with wine. It works fine, but after I close the program, when I try to open it again, it doesn't work. Wine freezes giving me no error message, and not completing the task. Even in a terminal, I can't use Control + C to cancel a wine command.

wineserver, as mentioned here, doesn't exist in my installed wine package, and wineboot also freezes. I have already reinstalled Debian first with LXDE, latter with XFCE, but in both of them the same problem occur.

Any alternative to restart wine completely without the need of rebooting linux?

P.S.: If I wait a huge amount of time, the application that I tried to run eventually will appear, suddenly, but it taskes like 10 minutes or so to work.

Thank you.
