Re: avtech 760 4 ch dvr: help to get password to unlock

If you have the DVR hooked up to a router, and you are bringing up Video Server E on your computer then you should be putting in the Password, and it should connect to the DVR. If it is not connecting with Admin / Admin then you are putting in the wrong IP address, or you have the wrong port number.

If I had to fix it for you, then I would go to your DVR (assuming you have a monitor/TV hooded up to it for viewing the menus),
Menu
Advance
Networking

I would look at the IP address, and port, and I would write this down as this will give me the correct information that I would need to insert in to Video Server E.

You may have the wrong gateway, and the router is not letting your DVR talk to your LAN.

If the IP address is correct, and your gateway is correct then you should be able to connect to your DVR.

To verify router issue then put the ip address of the DVR in to your browser, and see if you connect this way. If you can connect then it may be a password issue.

Question?
What comes up when you log in to Video Server E? Do you get an error message? What does it say?
