The above mentioned thread offers several ways to extract MP3 from recorded FLV files. This is the best way, because you don't lose any quality.
You can also use online services like vixy.net that will convert youtube videos to MP3 files.
And you can always use
direct sound recording software to record any audio from your sound card.
