Re: Anybody want to crack the new code of WatchESPN streams (with 7 bars of quality)?

Can anyone help me figure out livestreamer? When I enter the ESPN3 channel URL like so:

Code:
livestreamer "hlsvarient://http://content.xxx" best -o name.ts
I get a return like so:

Code:
error: No plug in can handle URL: xxx
I have VLC installed and it opens streams like Twitch/YouTube flawlessly.
I have also tried using the second .m3u8 that URL Snooper finds, under the protocol "xhttp m3u8 file" (have removed "x" from beginning of the link) as opposed to just the first "http m3u8 file" result. Same problem with both.

For those who cannot get it to work using Livestreamer, I was able to to use K-S-V's AdobeHDS and the HDS Link Detector add-on in Firefox to stream both ESPN and ESPN2. It will not work for ESPN3 as HDS Link Detector does not detect the link. Other than that, everything works great when streaming from the FLV. The only down side is that the max quality I was able to get was 896x504 with a bitrate of 2200. Like others have said, they protect the high quality streams pretty tightly.
