Here's what I did today:
1. change to the Akamai CDN (I figured out the url before you posted).
2. amend the --hls-segment-threads from 4 to 10.

I recorded BBC Radio 1 for over 7hrs without an issue. Now, I realise I've changed two things so cannot tell which one helped (or if either helped as it may have capped normally anyway). So I'll continue to test.

wrt the two Akamai urls: what is the difference? Do they use a different server within Akamai?
