would have been great - but wouldn't work. possibly vpn won't allow rtmp downloads somehow? It gives me this when trying youtube-dl.
idm is working sometimes, sometimes not - very glitchy.
for subs I have a webpage

it has all recent - and archived srt's on iPlayer.
http://subtitles.toh.info/
but either I need a new vpn - or i guess I have to settle for IDM - just can't understand why it doesn't allow get_iplayer or rtmpdump. streaming videos works perfectly.
ERROR: [rtmpdump] Could not connect to RTMP server
