I was able to download both versions without issues.
My program ignores region restrictions completely, so it can't get redirected to another version at all.
I downloaded a lot of songs, that are not available in my region (Germany).

The songs get decrypted on the fly while downloading. Another user also mentioned that it didn't work for him. But I can't reproduce this so I can't really tell where the error was.
Try to redownload that song.
