WM Recorder can record packets coming to Windows Media Player. IMHO the only reliable way to protect your Windows Media streams is by using DRM (Digital Right Management). But you should use one-time play licenses.

Please note that screen video capture software will be able to record anything from screen including your Windows Media streams (whether they are DRM-protected or not)
