I've been using
NetTransport to download Real Media stream from Berkeley for ages.
The best thing is that you can right click on the web-page and select "Download all with NetTransport". NetTransport can postprocess .RM metafiles and start downloading rtsp:// .rm Real Media streams automatically. It works perfectly with Berkeley webcasts.
There are many
media stream recorders that support rtsp:// real media streams, but NetTransport is definitely the one that I recommend to use here. It is not perfect. Even when I use I thread to download .RM videos through the RTSP protocol, I have to check every downloaded video, because sometimes they are not fully downloaded.
p.s. Your problem is probably caused by the old version of NetTransport.
