Unfortunately it's not that simple. I also own an iBook running Mac OS 10.4.11, and while connected to the exact same network everything runs fine for hours with no rebuffing, even while using various programs. Thus, the problem is isolated to my iMac. Some setting somewhere must be wrong, but I can't find it. Because the problem happens in iTunes AND VLC I'm assuming the culprit is somewhere in the System.....
