for your information, applian technology's replay media catcher is a re-branded/licensed version of jaksta recorder, and there are plenty of posts reporting problems with its use to record flash video streams from myfreecams, in particular since users were forced to switch from stream downloading to recording.
it would appear that the stream recording process is more sensitive to discontinuities (some of which, it has been suggested, may even be being deliberately introduced by the site) in the video feeds than downloading. the result is that recordings can end at random points during a broadcast. and if the video feed is very poor, it can be a struggle to record anything.
i have raised the issue with applian support, who referred the matter to their (jaksta) developer. however, to-date, no fix has been forthcoming.
however, i recently discovered a bit of freeware, rtmpdumphelper, a frontend to the open source rtmpdump toolkit, that has so far proved to be a more reliable, though still flawed, stream recorder than this commercial product.

yes, but the jaksta recorder has some nice advantages, such as appending the feed... unfortunately it won't do certain adobe feeds do to so-called legal resons.
For rtmpdump you may find the need to fiddle with the source code... which means compiling your own builds of it.
