It would be helpful if you could specify -

a. The operating system you are running, e.g. WinXP, Win Vista, Windows 7, Linux, Win98, Mac.

b. The version of RTMPDUMP you are using.

c. The url address of the BBC tv show you are trying to download.

In general, upgrading to the latest version of rtmpdump.exe (or the latest version your operating system can run) will give you the best results.

You will want to bear in mind that only a limited range of BBC shows are streamed as HD. Make sure there actually is an HD stream for the tv show you are trying to download. For example, if the show fails to play as HD in your browser it's likely the BBC are not streaming it as HD.

The mediaSelector XML page for the show will specify what streams are available. See my posts earlier in this thread as to how to find that page for the tv show you are interested in.
