"Also, don't install Update 929399 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929399), as it will update your IBX as well. " - from:
unDRM.info: Removing DRM FAQ: How to Remove DRM from Windows Media Player files with FairUse4WM 1.3
How can this be possible as
everytime you 'play' a drm protected file on WMP11 you are told that you MUST upgrade to gain access. Once you have gained access to play the file [and obtain keys], the mirakagi NO LONGER works! If you attempt to downgrade the WMP as soon as you play the drm file again, you are immediately directed to upgrade once more or the file will not play!
the black box is: 11.0.6000.6324.
WMP is: 11.0.5721.5145
this process is the same even if you try it through a virtual PC and it would appear that I'm only aloud to install my current XP-SP2 operating system on the virtual PC as anything else just freezes!
What am I doing wrong please? What is the solution? Fairuse worked fine until last week when I had to reinstall the O/S. Now it's "no go!"...
answers here please....
