On many forums I am often the one helping others, even with computer related stuff but this has got me stumped and I hope you don't mind if I ask a favour.
The following URL is of my brother doing an "arty installation" type thing and I promised him I would get him a copy of it to keep (for Christmas).
Now I have spent DAYS trying lots of different approaches but cannot get any of them to work. I even tried "Screen recording" via lots of software (incl VLC of course) but my Windows box is too slow and it always comes out jerky and I cannot get the sound to record via my Linux (Mint13) box, despite 2 days of trying
