Pick any video they do the same for me.
In my previous experiment I downloaded interviews of charlie rose from google video.

Click on the status button of WM Recorder to see what streams are recorded.

You can also grab the stream URLs from the text file urlswmr.txt which resides in the same folder as your WMR.

My connection is not very fast... Dunno whether I was recording slower than in real time or not.

Try the following:
  1. Click the "Settings" button
  2. Check "Reconnect forever"
  3. Click the "Apply" button, click the "OK" button.
It seems to me that this feature is meant to be used for different things, but I don't really understand what could possibly cause your problem.

I suggest you to try to download with a free download manager that has a log, for example "Free download manager". The only way to understand how to solve your problem is by analyzing logs. The stream URL can be found with WMR or any stream URL Finder.

Unlike Windows Media and Real streams, I don't really know how WMR records flash http streams in different modes and whether its recording ability depends on the flash player installed on your PC or not.

You can try a different version of adobe flash player. You can also try to record with WMR in the PRO and URL modes. Usually when one have problem with the ADA mode, the PRO one should be used, however it seems to be a rule of thumb for Windows Media and Real streams.
