i'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this. i think maybe i will get a few people to look at my previous post by adding a new post. is it just that there are no freeware applications that fit my criteria? as i said, even something that just records from the sound card and then automatically splits the songs into separate files would be an improvement over what i'm doing now (recording with audacity and splitting the songs by hand). even just a freeware application that only splits the songs into separate files would be an improvement. i wish spotify ripper worked on my system but it doesn't.

so i ask again - does anyone have a solution?
