I totally agree.
There are the following restrictions using a VPN service
1. You are dependent on their server speed. So, your 50 mbps connection is of no use if the servers provide only 2 mbps
2. No VPN is cheap ! The decent ones amounts to about $15 per month
3. No matter what they say, VPNs never gives unlimited traffic. The best you can get is 5gb.
The best bet is to use some kind of DNS services. Luckily they are cheap and fast since it only a DNS re-route and don't have any implications on the speed. The best one available out there is
