Recording Sirius Radio Online shows to an Audio CD

Recording Sirius Radio Online shows to an Audio CD

Before recording Sirius Radio Online with Replay A/V or Replay Radio please read the following HowTo guide: "How to Record Sirius Radio Online to the PC".

You may also download Replay A/V or Replay Radio (both are free to try), install them and read their User Guides.

To record an Audio CD without any additional quality loss, you should record Sirius radio shows to the WAV format. Although you may record to MP3 'coz many CD burners (like Nero for example) can easily burn MP3 files to Audio CD. MP3 is a lossy format (i.e. you lose some quality when converting to it), so in most cases it is better to record to WAV files.

To record to WAV with Replay A/V, Replay Radio:
After clicking onto the manual add button follow the other steps mentioned in the "How to Record Sirius Radio Online to the PC" guide except before the last step #10 (clicking the OK button) do the following:
1. Click the "Output" tab;
2. From the "Record to this format" drop-down list Select "WAV".

Burning Audio CD
1. You may burn an Audio CD from WAV files with Replay A/V, Replay Radio automatically by checking the "Make Audio CD" checkbox on the "Output" tab of the "Manual Add" window.
2. You may burn an Audio CD from the recorded WAV or MP3 files with Replay A/V, Replay Radio using their "Burn/Copy" feature.
3. You may burn an Audio CD from the recorded WAV or MP3 files with your favorite CD burner.

Burning Data CD or DVD
As an alternative, Replay A/V, Replay Radio can record Sirius radio shows
a. to MP3 files
--or--
b. to WAV files with the following conversion to AAC (iPod Bookmarkable), MP3, WMA, OGG.

You may burn AAC, MP3, WMA, OGG to a Data CD or DVD.

Replay A/V and Replay Radio can burn Data CD automatically after recording or manually (click the "Burn/Copy" button).
