Blackmagic Design UltraStudio 3D vs. H.264 Pro Recorder for recording 1080p on a Mac

Hello,

I would like to record 1080p HD gameplays on my Mac and broadcast them onto UStream.TV or Justin.TV. The cheapest solution is to use Blackmagic H.264 Pro Recorder ($495), but will there be any advantage for me to when using Blackmagic UltraStudio 3D ($995)? My MacBook Pro has the Thunderbolt port. Will it give me any advantage?
