I am almost novice in these questions, so thanks in advance for your indulgence…

I am looking for a way to record HDCP or non HDCP TV shows, and then be able to display them at a later time on a HD TV. This would be for private use only : no DVD burning, no other duplication, no commercial use etc...

If I understand correctly, with the proposed connections I would end up with the TV shows converted to non-HDPC MPEG records on a PC disk with, however, some loss of quality.

These records could then be directly displayed on the PC , but what else would be necessary to display them on a HD TV ?
