Some PDF files are just scanned images, so you can't convert them into text unless you use some OCR software like Abbyy Finereader.
I don't like reading PDF files even on
Kindle DX. Duokan is supposed to help with PDF and DjVu files on Kindles, but installing it would void your warranty.
