Hi to all .....
I have the same problem but i´m still using XP.... and MSN 2009, everytime i open a conversation , nothing happens.....but before..with an older msn ... we have to open video partner and then our own video ... and it worked fine, msnwebcam recorder starts video capture.

Any incoming or outgoing Webcam stream will be identified. As of version 1.2rc1, it does detect Video Conversations. "
