You should burn to DVD-RW/+RW instead. You can burn 4,37 GB to DVD. You can also play video files from your VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive using players like
PowerDVD.

It depends. Here are some options:
1. You can burn .FLV files and watch them on your TV using TV out of your video card.
2. You can use set top box like Apple TV. In this case conversion to format supported by set top box required.
3. You can burn MPEG-4 .AVI files and watch them on a standalone DVD Player with MPEG-4 support.
4. And you can burn DVD-Video disc that you can watch on a standalone DVD Player.
