Remove DRM from videos: Tunebite vs. Screen capture programs

Tunebite and other lossy DRM removal software may have problems when working with the latest version of Windows Media Player.

When using Tunebite or any screen video capture program make sure to close other applications and to select a video codec that your PC will be able to use without any problem. It is recommended to use a codec with low compression ratio and then convert to x264, Xvid,... using 2-pass method.

As for other options, you may:

1. Install a fresh copy of Windows XP on VMWare or Virtual PC and use FairUse4WM on it.

2. Use screen video capture program. Actually I don't see any difference compared to Tunebite except that you may use a free screen recorder. Yes, Tunebite saves tags, but do you really need them on your videos? Can't you transfer them manually?
