Thank you for the explanation. I've been using the google shortcut and some customs shortcuts for ages in Opera. I just don't have the w3c shortcut in the latest version of Opera.

I also like the way the latest version of Google Chrome searches. You just enter the name of a web-site (like youtube.com, amazon.com), then hit the space and it will allow you to enter the search term.
