Re: Flashget and other download managers as streaming audio recorders: scheduling

Thank you for your reply. I did finally muck through figuring out the hang up. Turns out FlashGet kept a log of a downloaded file, so when I went to retest it, even tho I deleted it via hte Flashget menu, and physically deleted the file, it determined it had already been dnld'd and it wouldn't invoke a dnld when I was testing it back to back. So I figured that part out.

What Flashget doesn't do is provide for multiple schedules. It is one size fits all. My current needs are so miniscule, I am getting by with how it works. I manually pull down an MP3, and am able to schedule a single MP3 stream live, and it saves. Those were the two things.

But, if I were looking to slurp down MP3, Real and WM static files as well as live streams, what would you recommend?

It can be used if you say have cheap Internet access at night and wanna make major downloads at night hours. To schedule downloads with FlashGet:
1. Click "Tools"->"Options"
2. Click "Schedule/Event" from the left list.
3. Change scheduling options.

After that you may use these sheduling options for some of your downloads. To do that create a new download and:
1. Click "Advanced button"
2. Select "Schedule" from the "Start" list.

What kind of audio streams do you record? There might be better stream recording software that can do the job for you.
