For QuickTime files you can use freeware Requiem. Again it works much better than re-recording from sound card. It won't work with rental audiobooks, but you shouldn't abuse rental licenses anyway.

If you use Windows XP, you can try to use freeware FairUse4WM for removing DRM protection. It is not re-recording from your sound card, it is much better.
