Your tut indicates we should be installing 4.7 - how can this be done?
i dont get you. you may be confused. so dont confuse me/us in turn!

my zune.exe is 4.7.1404.0

there is no need to update the zune software, so dont. use ANY old zune version and just be happy. for trouble shooting (if zune stops playing anything ---online or offline music---, then follow all instructions given here:

link01: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/z...7-7b9f45b00a10

Clearly, there is no need to reinstall Zune, Windows, or Nero. We dont know sh*t about your system (is it windowsXP? your WMP? etc). If you dont state in detail what system you're driving, then no help.

the tuts doesnt say anything about "virtual" or "virtual pc". so dont.

Apart from your problems, i am having problems too (ERROR CODES) and it takes a lot of a investigating and testing to make things work back again. In conclusion: zune is a very unstable, fragile system. it can break down for no reason (or simply crash) and then you cant play songs (online) anymore. Lots of ERROR CODES you must look up on the internet. And eventually you must re-download all songs/albums because of the resetting of your license. All trouble shooting tips are given at link01. Study it.
