MP3 audio/sound/music extractor vs. MP3 recorder for Youtube videos

I've read that Replay Media Catcher allows to extract MP3 audio/sound/music from .FLV flash video files. What are the advantages of using RMC vs. recording audio from youtube using free MP3 recorder like Freecorder 4?
