Hooray!
I did it! Got the video/audio to sync in an AVI file!
I followed the instructions on this web page:
http://www.digital-digest.com/articl...ide_page1.html
and used the following programs:
* FLV Extract
* ffdshow
* VirtualDubMod
It seems confusing at first, but once I did it one time, it was very quick and easy.
It didn't work at first, same problem as in the other programs... video about 15 seconds ahead of audio.
Prior to trying this I wrote down all the source info for my video that is nicely available from SUPER (fps, bitrate, etc) and tried to match that info in the converter programs (SUPER, total video converter, Riva) without success.
I did get Geovid to work (to sync the audio/video properly), using the ffdshow codec, but I was trying to avoid buying a program if possible.
What finally worked for me was following the instructions on the website above, then prior to saving the file in VirtualDub, I changed the
frame rate to 15 fps (which was the listed fps rate of the video I have)... VirtualDub's default is 18.780. That one small change made it work!
Thank you so much for your support and advice, it is greatly appreciated.
