If I understand it correctly, you could get 1080p with the AverTV if you wanted it (compared to the component video limit of 1080i in the Hauppage HD PVR), but no HDCP so you'd capture at something like 480i. Is that correct? |
I haven't seen any HD DVRs that support HDCP yet. If you don't want to convert HDMI to component, then you will be able to record SD video only (like 480p or 480i).
