hi, although myspace audio streams are tricky to capture because of secure RMTP (RTMPE), it is possible. you get *.FLV-files with
rtmpdump,
StreamTransport,
GetFLV,
CooJah + Blader.
they all download the same FLV file: 2.93MB for a test song of 4min13sec length.
+
Replay Media Catcher 3 is NOT able to detect mp3 frame rates and extract the audio as MP3. strange!
+
getflv "decompresses" a 3.86MB-sized MP3 file, 128kbps, LAME 3.98, 44.1kHz, and the Encoded Tag field says "Lavf52.22.0" (whatever that means!?)
+
flvextract extracts a 2.89MB-sized MP3 file, 96kbps, LAME 3.97, sampler rate 22050Hz, and the file is fully untagged.
Funnily i dont have any LAME 3.97 codec installed on my system. And why would the MP3 file be much bigger than the FLV file. All this evidences that
GetFLV does not extract the mp3 audio data but CONVERTS

THE FLV TO MP3:

anyway. my tests demonstrate that myspace songs are in 96 and not in 128.
