Interesting post...but I still cannot view my dvr remotely after doing everything described in this post ...My dvr local ip is 192.168.11.7, and I set it up to work on port 8080. When I type 192.168.11.7:8080, I can access the dvr on my local network. When I type my Ip address (obtained from whatinsmyip.com) and :8080 I cannot access the dvr. Also, I have set up port forwarding on my router and set up an account with dyndns.com, and I am not able to access my dvr using the url I have set up through them. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Your help is greatly appreciated.
