Of course you can better quality by downloading / capturing original videos.
There are few
RTMPE recorders out there. Besides the ones already mentioned I can recommend to try rtmpsuck. You will need Linux like free Ubuntu. You can use dual boot, install it onto virtual machine like free Virtual Box or even use Windows installer called Wubi (I prefer dual boot).
