When recording HD video, xbox360 is usually connected to a capture card and TV via HDMI or component video.

Component and composite work simultaneously for xbox 360 when you use SD video resolution. And component to composite converters are not very cheap.

If you want to spend as little as possible, it seems to be better to capture SD videos or to get an HD TV.
