I want to be able to record my Xbox 360 gameplay, I've read up a little about it and was planning on getting a
Dazzle Capture Card, as they seem to do the job well enough for a nice (relatively) small price tag. However, due to a Youtube comment, funnily enough, I found out about the
Pinnacle Studio MovieBox Ultimate 14 HD, which is a lot cheaper than the benchmark in HD Xbox video capture, the
Hauppage HD PVR.
The only problem is my TV. I'll add more detail if needs be, but for the moment I'll give an overview.
It IS a CRT TV, as in one of the old ones with huge backs (this is as opposed to LCD TVs, the more modern and common type), but it isn't incredibly old. I am pretty sure it has no HDMI sockets.
So... Will this mean I am unable to record in HD, and therefore should just record SD using a Dazzle? Or would there be a benefit of paying more for an HD capture card for a non-HD TV?
Slightly off-topic, would I be able to record S-Video using composite cables if I only have the normal AV sockets (red yellow and white)? Say, if I bought an AV to S-Video
