Do you use Freecorder 2 or Freecorder Toolbar?

The Freecorder Toobar has the Vista sound recording option. Just go to the settings and change them. You can ask for more about Freecorder Toolbar in the following forum:

You may also try Jaksta Free Media Recorder. Just set the Applian Audio Driver (not Windows Audio Driver) in the Settings.
