www.evernote.com is an awesome service. You can use it for free. It allow to save notes, tags them and search in them. Evernote is allows formatting and pictures to be used.

You can access your notes online from anywhere. And you can even do it from your iPhone, Windows Mobile, Blackberry,....

Another good thing about evernote is its integrations with web-browsers. Instead of saving pages to your hard drive or bookmarking them, you can select some part of the text that is really useful and add it to evernote. Formatting and pictures are saved automatically! Awesome, awesome, awesome!
