What exactly is the problem with audio? Any errors? Was it working before? What OS do you use?

You can buy an external sound card that is connected via USB. Or you can even buy a USB headset (I use MS Lifechat, for example), it doesn't require to have a sound card to play audio. You just connect a USB device via a USB cable. Sometimes you may also need to to install drivers. But make sure you can't solve your problem with external sound card of your HP Pabillion DV2000 (if it comes with a sound card).
